Every organisation, regardless of size or sector, has a need at some time for print services. From general printing of business stationary and sales brochures to posters, packaging and labels there are some printing jobs too large or complex to take on in-house. This is where partnering with the right print service partner is essential.
The print services you procure are important not only from a commercial point of view but also because the image which a printed product conveys about your company will influence how your suppliers and customers view your organisation. In this two-part post, we will look at six tips to help you select the right printing partner.
Look for a partner not just a printer
The first and most important thing to remember about selecting a print services provider is that you want a partner not just a printer. You want to partner with a company that will advise you on everything from paper stock and format options but also design, binding and delivery. You want a printing partner that will consult and collaborate with you to ensure you get the best value for your investment. If possible you should visit the premises of your potential printing partner. Take a tour of their facilities to check out how they perform, ask questions, talk to the staff and generally get a feel for how they operate. The quality and presentation of their premises will reflect the quality of work they produce.
Check their quality of work
You should never sacrifice quality for price when it comes to your printed products as such you should ask to see samples of recent work from your shortlisted candidates. This way you can compare products and make an informed decision. Pay special attention to the finish of each printed product.
